The next regularly scheduled Coastal Waters Management Board meeting will be on Thursday, May 8, 2008 @ 6:00 pm downstairs @ the Town Office. The general public is welcome to attend.
DOCUMENTED VESSEL EXCISE TAX
According to MRSA Title 36, Section 1504 (8) the Excise Tax on Documented Vessels must be paid by July 1 of any year. Your failure to pay this tax may result in liens being placed on any and all of your real properties within this county. Please make sure you have taken care of this tax and if you have any questions call or stop in here at the office and we'll be glad to help.
Mooring fees are due January 31, 2008. Fees not paid before May 1, 2008 will double, and if fees remain unpaid as of June 1, 2008, you may lose mooring privileges and gear within St. George waters. Please stop in or call if you have any questions or comments.
Weather permitting, the floats in Tenants Harbor and the outer float in Port Clyde will be launched May 20, 2008. The channel markers are scheduled to be re-rigged with new ground gear and should hit the water at about the same time.
