The Maine Forest Service is pleased to offer citizens the option to obtain open burning permits online!

Through our easy online process you will be able to obtain an open burning permit 7 days a week, (providing permits are being issued at the time). Online permits are only valid for the immediate 24 hours after issuance. Burning permits can not be purchased for a future date.

The online service is easy and secure. You will be able to print your permit at the end of the online process.
