Dog License

New

A license is required for a dog six months of age or more. Please bring your dog's current Maine rabies certificate. Where applicable, you will need to bring the spay or neutering certificate.

Renewals

Dog license renewals are due by December 31st of each year and are available in mid October. Please bring your dog’s current Maine rabies certificate. 

Renewals by Mail (Please send the Following)

  1. A COPY of your dog's current Maine rabies certificate

  2. Appropriate fee (see below)

  3. Self addressed stamped envelope

Fees

Spayed or Neutered Dogs $6; Non-spayed or Non-neutered $11. Fees are subject to change.

Penalty Fees

Renewals after January 31 have a state-mandated $25 late fee. Fees are subject to change.
