The Town of St. George participates in the Rapid Renewal Program offered through the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Individuals can renew their motor vehicle registration and pay the local excise tax in one simple online transaction. Passenger and commercial vehicles that have been previously registered can be renewed through this service. At the Town Office

Payment of an excise tax at the Town Office is required on all vehicles for re-registration.

Please bring the following

• Previous registration

• Proof of insurance

• Current mileage

The State of Maine does not send reminder notices for vehicle registration renewals. Remember to check your registration expiration date. Also remember to check your inspection sticker each year.
