EMS Services, St. George Ambulance

Welcome to St George EMS. Our service is made up of four full time Paramedics, per diem and paid from home providers.  Our per diem providers and drivers work 12 to 24-hour shifts at the station daily.

We hold monthly meetings and training on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7 pm unless otherwise scheduled.

We are always looking for new members interested in joining our service. If you are interested, please fill out an application or email Chief Drinkwater at Email Chief Drinkwater for more information.

We have a Community Paramedicine program. Community Paramedicine does not replace existing healthcare services. Community Paramedics augment current healthcare resources in an effort to support the unique healthcare needs identified within our communities. The aim of this innovative program is to utilize the skills of our well-trained providers for prevention rather than response.

Community Paramedics, in consultation with the referring provider and/or the patients PCP, can address specific needs identified such as:

  • Post Surgical/Post Discharge Patients

  • Medication Compliance & Reconciliation

  • Wound Care

  • Episodic Care

  • Blood Draws

  • Assistance in the management of chronic illnesses, such as:

    • Hypertension

    • Diabetes

    • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD/Asthma)

  • Prevention Assessments

  • Other services as direct by primary care physician.
