A lovely Maine woods loop trail in the interior of the St. George peninsula along the upper Jones Brook.
Trail Description
This 0.8 mile loop trail traverses along the banks of upper Jones Brook and travels through mature soft and mixed wood stands offering views of a marsh pond with beaver lodges. The terrain is moderately level, providing a good hike for all abilities. There is a short spur (0.25 miles out-and-back) leading to Jones Brook with a bridge crossing. This spur ends at a private property boundary, where hikers will turn back.

Directions and Parking
The Town Forest / Jones Brook trail parking is accessed from Kinney Woods Road, 0.7 miles east of its intersection with Route 131, which is located approximately 4.5 miles south from the intersection of Route 1 and 131 in Thomaston and 5.5 miles north from the intersection of Route 131 and Watts Avenue in Tenants Harbor.
