Calculator and Budget

It’s budget season! The town develops its proposed budget each year between January and March.  This is a collaborative process between the Town Manager, the Budget Committee, and the Select Board.   Every meeting is posted on the town calendar and open to the public.

The town's proposed budget is finalized in the spring and published on the town website and in the Annual Town Report.

The amount the town spends is decided by you, the voters of St. George, at the in-person annual town meeting: May 13, 2025 at 7 p.m. Residents are welcome to participate at any stage of this process.

The school budget (also funded primarily by local tax dollars) is developed separately by the School Board, and voted on at the polls in June.  These meetings are posted on the School District calendar, and open to the public.
