The Harbor Committee is happy to report that the new Port Clyde Landing project is essentially complete. The area will be paved and striped in the spring and should be fully functional for next summer’s use. The floats were placed in the water for a short time this fall, and successfully hooked up with the ramp. They are now stored at the site. This project, like any large construction job, has had its fair share of engineering challenges that have delayed its progress. But it looks like we all will soon be able to enjoy this new public access to the sea. A green-space/picnic area is being planned for the upper part of the lot overlooking the harbor. Thank you to the residents of St. George who have supported our efforts to protect this access and the working waterfront in Port Clyde.
